When is it?
FULL TIME: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-4:45 pm
PART TIME: Tuesdays or Thursdays 4:00 - 4:45pm
October 18 , 2022 - March 16, 2023
Who is it for?
This program is for beginner skaters of all ages, as well as for those wishing to improve their basic skills whether their focus be for figure skating, hockey, speed skating or just skating for fun.

NCCP trained CanSkate coach along with Program Assistants
What will they learn?
A complete series of balance, control and agility skills taught in 6 stages of learning that pertain to hockey, ringette, speed skating and figure skating as well as general recreational skating. CanSkate uses nationally tested and proven curriculum and delivery methods that guarantee skater success in developing stronger basic skills and developing them faster.
What can you expect?
Action, movement and fun! Lessons are given in a group format using circuits with a coach-to-student ratio of a maximum of 1:10. Skaters progress at their own rate and coaches make sessions active using teaching aids, upbeat music and a wide variety of activities.
What do you need to participate?
- CSA approved hockey helmet
- skates that support the ankles (preferably not molded skates)
- long pants, mitts and a warm sweater or jacket
What is the cost and volunteer requirements?
$350.00 Full-time (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
$250.00 Part-time (Tuesdays or Thursdays)
Note:
- Coaching fees are included for Stettler's Future Stars FunSkate Competition and participation is optional.
- Coaching fees for out of town competitions are additional and participation is optional.
- All competition entry fees are also additional (in town or out of town).
