Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition- this is what StarSkate is all about!
StarSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate, and interpretive skating. Lessons are taught in group and/or private lesson formats. Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through the nationally standardized testing system.

Regular Season: September 3, 2024 - March 21, 2025
Who is it for?
Skaters who have completed the Junior Starskate program and are interested in furthering their figure skating career.

NCCP Certified Coaches
What will they learn?
The StarSkate program consists of figure skating skills in five areas – skating skills, ice dance, free skate, artistic and synchro. Each area is divided into a variety of levelled assessments.
What can you expect?
Coaches teach lessons in each of the disciplines. Skaters will undergo testing once skills are mastered. Skaters may also choose to enter competitions.
What do you need to participate?
- Figure skates fitted from a skate shop – ProSkate (Edmonton) or United Cycle (Edmonton) are used by club members
What is the cost and volunteer requirements?
Full Time: $755.00. Skaters can be on the ice during all StarSkate sessions at their skill level.
Associate Members: $605.00. For skaters with a home club other then Stettler. Allows 2 hours per week of ice including stroking sessions. Must be the same time every week.
Hourly Drop In: A $30.00 per hour fee is charged to skate for 1 hour at any time during StarSkate sessions. The skater must be registered with a Skate Canada club.

Please note:
Each skater will need to contact a coach to arrange lessons - lessons fees not included in your skating fees and will be billed monthly from the coach.
Competition entry fees and test fees will be in addition to the registration fee.
